Upgrading from Windows Server 2003 to 2008

Today want to upgrade from my Windows Server 2003 to 2008 and Microsoft 2008 setup program greets me with this:

You must make the following changes before upgrading Windows

Uninstall the following programs:

Windows PowerShell

This compatibility report will be saved to your current desktop.

And the worst part is, I tried to uninstall Windows Server 2003 SP2 which brought me this PowerShell and it failed! This is so ridiculous.. finally, I searched online and found a post to uninstall Powershell.. That works – I don’t know why when I tried to uninstall SP2 from control panel it just failed… I agree with one of the comments in the blog, "Seriously.  How in the world does a shell environment prevent an entire OS from installing!!!??? "
Well, this is the *FIRST* time, ever, I tried to do an upgrade instead of installing a brand new OS. Guess I will have to wait until tomorrow to finish it.. now going home..
